Hey! I don't want to bother you but I'm just wondering where did you hear that Kate Bosworth and ASkars broke up? Cuz so many rumors have been going on lately and I keep hearing : They're together still, they're not... and I'm just wondering what you know exactly.
Hope it's not too much to ask!
This is where I heard the news, but you can never be sure what is or is not true…
My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun; Coral is far more red than her lips’ red; If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head. I have seen roses damask’d, red and white, But no such roses see I in her cheeks; And in some perfumes is there more delight Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know That music hath a far more pleasing sound; I grant I never saw a goddess go; My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground: And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare As any she belied with false compare.
I want to pay Alan Rickman to read me sonnets every night before bed.
I have to give the Final Destination franchise props. They really are ballsy. Not only did the abandon the amazing-ness that is Devon Sawa and continue to make these melo-dramatic thillers BUT they continue to realease them in movie theaters.
Do you understand how audacious that is? They are on their fifth reinterpretation of a film that I find hard to reinterpret. They aren’t reinventing the wheel, but they are redefining cojones.
Even Bring It On went to the small screen a la ABC Family.
It should be obvious, I have a serious affection for award shows and the Emmy’s is extra special because it is TV!!
So here are a few thoughts and predections…
FNL! FNL! FNL! FNL! FNL! FNL! FNL! FNL!
I can’t even act as if I can be impartial with Friday Night Lights in the category. Seriously, the show is no longer running. It has legions of followers, amazing cast in the entire four season run, and beautiful television, it deserves the win.
After Zach Gilford, did not get nominated for “The Son” episode, I was extremely disappointed. I lost hope. Now they have a chance to redeem themselves.
Congratulations to the other shows nominated… Game of Thrones, I hear you and I need to meet soon. I look forward to it, but this is not your year.
Outstanding Actress in a Drama:
Once again, a toughie, but not that tough. Let Connie have it. It is not as if it is undeserving. The woman acted her ass off. I will forever know her as Tami Taylor, mother of petulant Julie and cutie pie Gracie Belle. The wife of the hardest working man in Texas football and a shoulder for all of those kids and Dillon to lean on. Connie Britton gave us Tami Taylor, now let’s give her an Emmy!
Also Mireille Enos, I love you for The Killing, beautiful show but not this year.
Outstanding Actor in a Drama:
I am having a hard time not being completely obvious but here goes nothing…Kyle Chandler come get your Emmy sir.
I worry for Hugh Laurie because in six nominations he has not gotten the Emmy and I think House is close to its last leg but even if next season completely jumps the ship, he will likely be nominated again.
—SNUB ALERT: Where the hell is Joel Kinnamen’s name on this ballot? That man deserves a nomination. He was the perfect foil to Mireille Enos’s Linden.
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama:
Honestly, I have no conviction here. Just on the sake of looking at the list I think John Slattery should get it. I like him.
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama:
I only watch The Killing so my bias is completely obvious towards Michelle Forbes. Although, Mitch started annoying the shit out of me, but she played it well. …skipping guest actors…
I have so much to say in few words. Why is Glee still in the Comedy category? It was super funny first season but now ehhhh. Just ehhh. The Blame it On the Alcohol episode was the only episode this season that I think merits and actual funny nod. Other than that, it’s pretty fucking dramatic.
Lastly, if Modern Family doesn’t win, I WILL torch something.
Outstanding Actress in a Comedy: With the best of intentions, I had every intention of watching Mike and Molly. I never did but I still am going to assert that Mellisa McCarthy needs to win this.
She was amazing in Bridesmaids this year. I can’t say she is going to win any awards for that because the world isn’t fair. So she should win this…Also as a tandem for her work on Gilmore Girls because she was fabulous there as well.
I want to say that I love all of these funny women nominated so I can’t hate on whoever does win.
Outstanding Actor in a Comedy:
So many funny guys… but I am going for Louis C.K. Just for a change and he is funny. For the sake of honesty, I do not watch any of these shows so… shot in the dark.
Outstanding Supporting Actor in Comedy:
You already know how I feel about Glee actors in Comedy categories…so thats done. I vote ANYONE from Modern Family. A little extra for Jesse Tyler Ferguson. I <3 him.
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy:
So many funny women!!! Give them all one. Seriously. I can’t chose. Except that I choose Julie Bowen… No No Kristen Wiig… Ahh but Sophia is the perfect Gloria… and I love Jane Krakowski.
side note: Jane Lynch is the only funny person on Glee.
Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy:
HOLY CRAP. Please let Justin speak. I just NEED to see his acceptance speech. Plus, he really is funny. He could be a cast member.
Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy:
So many peeps but Kristen Chenoweth is a comedic genius and deserves the love. That is all I can say.
Outstanding Reality Show Host:
"Who run the world…Girls Girls" - Give it to Cat. She is so good. She completely redeems Brits with the bad teeth stereotype and actually looks like she loves her job.
Outstanding Reality Show Competetion:
So You Think You Can Dance. Duh!
Outstanding Variety, Music, or Comedy Series:
Aww Conan. The Daily Show is going to crush him. But yayyy Conan!
Kadee Strickland performed the work of her career this season on Private Practice. I get it, it is one of those shows with extreme drama and blahblah they don’t like to nominate these types of shows. But she deserves a nomination. She played her ass off this season. She was completely compelling, emotional, strong, sensitive, ugh what the eff. She deserved it. Watch Private Practice.
This one is a personal grievance… The Secret Life of the American Teenager. If you don’t watch, you won’t get it. It is so bad it is good. The writing is a joke but those kids really act well and this season has been spectacular and they need a Emmy nom soon. Just saying…
SHOUT OUT to all the lovely choreographer of SYTYCD nominated this year. Yay for Travis Wall.
